VIEWPOINT
I describe my approach to photography with these words: unforced, real, and warm. Keeping things natural is always best, whether I'm giggling with kiddos in my studio, or snapping pics of an emotional couple moments after their wedding ceremony. Visual beauty is my happy place, and feelings are my addiction.
Perfection is boring.

Frequently Asked Questions
do you travel for weddings?
Heckyeah! Travel is one of the great joys of life, right? So, when I get to visit a cool place, AND take photos...it's kinda the best. When I customize any shoot package, I try to provide options and make the process as easy as possible. Whether it's for a wedding, an elopement, or even if you want to catch a portrait session with me when I'm traveling, my gear and I are ready to go!
When do I get to see my images?
The wait is painful, I get it! I ask that folks allow 2 weeks for portrait galleries, and 8 weeks for weddings. I don't outsource editing. Each image is individually reviewed and enhanced until it meets my standards.
what does editing entail?
Every image you receive will have some form of enhancement. It could be something as simple as a tiny bit of cropping, or it may be intricate to make an image really dynamic. It's important to point out that what I do to images is very dependent on the shoot type. Headshots are kept as natural as possible, since they are meant to be a factual representation of someone. Boudoir and editorial shoots can definitely have a more artistic flair. Weddings and family portraits will be edited in a manner that is stylish and modern, yet classic. For all shoots, I stay away from applying effects that are trendy. Your images should stand the test of time.
What should I wear for our portrait session?
This is a good question, and I get it a lot. My approach to outfits is similar to my approach to photography. Keep it natural. What that means clothing-wise is that you should wear something that is "you" and that makes you feel amazing in it. You know your colors, necklines, all that good stuff. Have fun with it, and bring more than one option. If you're doing a couple's shoot or family photos, I beg you to not be matchy-matchy. Everyone can look like they "go" together, while still being individuals. Yes!
SHOULD WE DO A "FIRST LOOK" AT OUR WEDDING?
The beauty is, it's totally your choice. A first look allows the couple to have some unforgettable and intimate moments together. It's like walking down the aisle without an audience. We can have you two greet each other in a natural (not cheesy) manner. Hold each other, look at each other, enjoy the person you love so much. After you share those moments, we can also take care of shots with family and the wedding party. That way, you can start celebrating sooner after the ceremony. If you choose to not do a first look, I suggest that you plan a cocktail hour for guests after your ceremony. Then, we can use that time for photos of you two, the wedding party, and the family.
how will i receive my images?
Your edited images will be posted in a user-friendly online gallery. You will be able to download all of the full-sized, print quality image files. The gallery is easily shared with family, friends, and social media. If you choose to share, family and friends will also have access to free downloads of the full quality image files. This makes things particularly easy for weddings. If anyone asks for a certain image, simply email them the gallery link. Easy peasy! Anyone can also order professional prints directly from the gallery. Yay!
