Wow. Wow. I have a new understanding for why so many people refer to New Orleans as a really special place. I just got back from a fantastic, pre-Mardi Gras visit, and miss it already. The music and food completely lived up to what I’d heard. The museums, spontaneous celebrations, and overall spirit of the people was less anticipated, but equally wonderful. I walked around with a decent camera and a toy lens, and snapped just a fraction of what I experienced there. Thanks, NOLA. Can’t wait to see you again.

Jas is swell. We’ve played photo a bunch of times, and she’s an absolute delight. Recently, she needed some new headshots, but had to change from blonde to brunette. So, I posted a couple from the first fair-haired go around. I know, it’s kinda gross that she looks so good with any color and style. She’s not just a pretty face, though. Y’all, sometimes photography can be dangerous. Like when you keep photographing lovely women who make pregnancy look realllllly glamorous. Jenn is definitely one of those ladies. I had the pleasure of working with her and her sweet family right before their newest member was due to arrive. Yay! It was a fun evening of photos, and their little one is about to be welcomed into a wonderful family. Lucky baby!

Happy Valentine’s Day everybody! I’m having a blast in NOLA, and came across this bin of gems. Can’t wait to post more pics. For now, it’s back to food and music. Sometimes it does not suck to be me.
