My love of Etsy is not a secret. Can’t get enough of it! I occasionally post some of my favorite items, especially if I think I’ve found something my clients would like. I adore these intricate paper cake topper designs. They are crafted by an artist named Gwen, and you can read an interview with her by clicking HERE. damon, jillian, and the cutie boys
It’s been a real photo joy recently to have several shoots with folks who are friends that I only get to see once in a blue moon. Last week, Damon and Jillian came into town for some photos with their little sweetie-pies. It was wonderful to see them, and watch them play and snuggle with Alden and Elliott. I knew their boys were unbelievably adorable, but what I didn’t know was how easy they are to photograph. I seriously felt like I was shooting an ad for Gap Kids. I’ll bet if I had said “find your light”, they would have done it without hesitation. We played, snapped some pics, chatted, then played some more. Not a bad way to spend a morning.
Jillian and Damon, your family is beautiful. So much love. Thanks a bunch, and I hope it’s not too long before I see you all again!
sanders anniversary party
Fifty years of marriage is definitely a good reason to throw a fabulous party. My friends Robert and Kristi recently held a wonderful event to celebrate the anniversary of Robert’s parents. It was held at the cool 1420 Room, and naturally, Big Mike and some of the fellas from Kingsized were there to play lots of sweet tunes. Both Robert and Kristi are creative artists, so it was no surprise that Robert’s speech was really touching and eloquent. This is obviously a tight family, and his folks still look at each other in that special way. Here’s to many, many more years of marriage and love!
I finally got to meet gorgeous baby Stella. So sweet, and Kristi really brings out the beauty of motherhood.
patricia’s headshots
This pretty lady is Patricia, who I recently got together with to shoot some headshots. Yay! The most accurate way I can describe her is that she is an adorable firecracker. I am a very chatty and bubbly person, and love when I get to work with others of my kind. She is a blast. Acting requires a lot of energy, and she probably has enough to do 3 one-woman shows simultaneously. Now, I don’t have a way of verifying this, but I’d like to see it happen.
fletch update, starring kara + gidget
It’s been ages since my last Fletch update. Today, he and I were lucky to get a visit from cutie-pie Kara and her gorgeous Newfoundland, Gidget. What better reason to take some pics for the bloggy-blog? I already knew I adored Kara, but after meeting her fluffy, giant pup….I am now in love with Gidget as well. We both commented on how cool it was to see our dogs get to play with something their own size. Before Gidget, the closest thing in size to Fletch was the patio table. So here are some shots of our “babies” doing their thing.
Gidget!
Fletch!
Oh the cuteness!
Fletch, taking it easy in his favorite diggin’ hole.
My new favorite photo. (awesome photo skills by Kara Jensen!)
This one makes me so happy.
Gidget digits!
rittelmeyer headshots
Hey, it’s my friend Chris! What a super-swell guy. So glad we got to have some photo play time to get him some headshots. This man gots skills. He’s real darn good at the improvising, and he has just about the most beautiful singing voice you’ll ever hear. No lie. I’m excited about seeing the show he’s in this evening. He’s in the cast of “Spoon the Musical” at Dad’s Garage Theater. I’m pals with everyone in the cast, and it was written by my friend Matt Myers, and directed by my friend Alison Hastings. How could this NOT be a great show?! You should totally check it out.
I’ve also been meaning to post a blog howdy to Erin Burnett, a lovely gal who checks out my blog occasionally. Since Erin is also in “Spoon”, I thought this would be a good opportunity to say “HI ERIN….AND ERIN’S MOM!”. Yay!
This just cracks me up!
Also, this one cracks me up. Chris, you so funny….and obviously brooding.
anna’s headshots
This beautiful gal is Anna. We recently got together to take some headshots for her, and she is as fun as she is adorable. She had a sparky personality that made me want to just keep chatting with her all day. On a photographic note, her golden eyes and engaging expressions made her a dream in front of the camera. Anna, thanks for being so dang awesome!
the brothers carr
Family portraits + sword fights = YES! Jon and Raymond Carr are two of the most cool, creative fellas you’ll meet. They wanted some portraits to give to their folks, and I was more than pleased to oblige. It cracks me up how different they are, and they made fun of each other throughout the shoot. I would expect no less.
I could continue to babble on about the awesomeness of our photo time together. However, I think you’ll be able to tell what a blast we had just by lookin’ at the pics, so I’ll let them speak for themselves. Cheggit!
You guys got swag.
michelle + joe’s wedding
As wedding season continues, I’m happy to post images from yet another unforgettable event. I second-shot with my friend and photo pal Robin Nathan on Michelle and Joe’s big day. It took place at The Temple here in Atlanta, and this sweet couple couldn’t have looked more wonderful. Their love for each other instigated a lot of emotion throughout the day, and I have to admit, I had a hard time holding back tears during a few moments. These folks also know how to paaarrrrttttyyy! Their band was Kingsized, so that pretty much guarantees a good ol’ time. Woo hoo!
Here are a few of my shots from this memorable day!
zachary’s bar mitzvah!
I feel so lucky to have met the Tolchin family. I always have room in my world for people who are kind-hearted, gracious, and who know how to throw a really great party! Back in May, I had a wonderful time taking some family portraits with them. Time sure flies, and a week ago, Zachary’s big day finally arrived. I stopped by the beautiful Temple Sinai to snap some pics while he practiced everything he’d been learning (he did a super job, by the way). The following day, we headed to the cool sushi spot, Nori Nori for some major celebrating. Amid the atmosphere of fun music, amazing food, and fabulous dance moves, what truly stood out was the love shared in this family. That is certainly a joy to witness!
Here are some of the photos from this awesome event…
Congratulations, Zachary!!
