I recently had a fantastic shoot with a sweet and beautiful gal named Bernadette. I had taken acting headshots a while back for her lovely cousin, Samin. Bernadette’s family was in town visiting, and they wanted to work in a portrait shoot for her. Yay! She said that she wanted some moody and mysterious images. Awesome. She’s such a fun young lady, so I had to work in a few smiley, happy ones too.

Bernadette asked me if she could jump. My answer to this question is always “YES!”. Disclaimer (my answer may not be “yes” if you are posing under a ceiling fan, if you are more than 8 months pregnant, or if our shoot is on the edge of a cliff). : )

Of course, we had to get a photo with her wonderful mom.

Bernadette, it was super meeting you. Thanks for such a cool and collaborative shoot!
Bailey is the very cool daughter of my friends Leslie and Keith. There’s a LOT of talent in this family. Keith is a writer and film-maker. Leslie is a writer and performer. Bailey has some mad visual skills, including photography. On top of that, they all have an equally wicked sense of humor.
This year, Bailey had some school-appointed senior portraits taken, and they were less than happy with the results. I wish I could see these, because the descriptions alone from Leslie and Bailey are priceless. So, I was thrilled that they asked me to take some fun shots. It also gave me an opportunity to explore the “senior portrait” realm. There are many directions those can go, so it was a blast to see what we could come up with to suit her.
The last time a took a photo of Bailey was during a shoot for one of the films her folks were making. I can’t even remember how long ago that was. Three years, maybe? Here she is looking very ethereal.
Here are some of the images from our recent photo shoot…..
I think we’re similar in that we’re both more comfortable being goofy in front of the camera. Check out these awesome faces…
Bailey is one seriously beautiful gal.
This next shot is not only one of my favorites from our session, but it’s also one of my favorites I’ve taken in a while.
She had her cap and gown along, so we had to play around a bit with those!
Thanks SO much Bailey! It was an absolute joy, and I hope you like the pics.
