"the meeting of two personalities is like the mixing of two chemical substances...if there is any reaction, both are transformed" - jung

Hiya!  Awfully nice of you to visit my little ol' blog.

A quick description of me would be that I love my family, my friends, life, photography, and pancakes.

I live in Atlanta with my hubby, and I'm pleased to say that we both work as, what I like to call "functioning artists".  I started my photo biz nearly five years ago, and feel lucky to have a career that is always changing and always challenging.  I'm greatful for every day that I get to wake up and do what I love.

I'm drawn to all forms of art, and multiple styles of photography.  However, I'm moved most by personality and character.  This is what set me on the path to doing portraiture.  Whether I'm shooting a beautiful wedding, a happy family, or a beloved dog, I'm always a portrait photographer.  I want every image to speak volumes and make it's viewer linger just a little longer.

I wear my heart proudly on my sleeve, and that's what you will get from my photos.  I will glady give you a little bit of myself in every frame I shoot.

sarah + john’s photo booth

Man, do I love a photo booth. I’ve been doing these for over a year now at weddings, and they are a total hoot. With Sarah + John’s wonderfully animated and willing guests, it’s no surprise that these are some of my all-time favorite pbooth shots. These were taken by my completely rad second shooter, Caroline.

Aww…I luvs me some Alison and Deb

You just gotta appreciate the champagne flute and sippy cup combo

No, that is not a stunt leg. Hope is a dancer and is just that flexible. I’m sure that leg coulda gone much higher, but she’s a classy lady.

C’mon…you could have gotten a few more folks in there!

Um, the honeymoon’s not supposed to start until AFTER the wedding, you guys

This is Sarah and her cool sis. Ladies! Stop it! You’re both pretty!

Here’s the one pic I contributed to the photo booth since this is Sarah and my partner in crime, Caroline. I suppose I should point out that these two have known each other for a while, so you’re less likely to get strangled by Caroline if we do a photo booth at your wedding.

I think I saved the best shot for last…

I hope people keep wanting these set-ups because I sure get a kick out of them!

dell + ferlando’s photo booth

I love photo booths, and I’m so glad Dell + Ferlando opted to have one at their recent wedding. With family and friends as fun as this…you can’t go wrong. Here are just a few examples of them working it for the camera.

Dell contacted me after I shot Christi and Andisheh’s wedding last year, so I had to give them a little photo shout out!

Way to work the photo booth y’all!

kim & mitchell’s photo booth

Here are some of the fun shots from the photo booth at Kim and Mitchell’s recent wedding. These are some guests who know how to have a good time. I love to see what people come up with in front of the camera!

I still need some suggestions on an alternate name for the photo booth, so PLEASE help a gal out! If I can’t think of anything better than “photo area” or “image station”, I’m just going to have to name it something like “Jimmy” or “Melissa”, and who knows what kind of confusion THAT will cause. Help!

pbooth playtime

Here are some shots from the photo booth we set up at Andisheh and Christi’s wedding. Everybody really got into the spirit of it.

I have a small confession to make. My photo booth is not technically a “booth”. However, when you say “photo booth” people understand that it’s supposed to be fun and crazy, rather than something like a prom portrait (although doing mock prom portraits would be pretty hilarious too). So I’ve been trying to think of something else to call it that isn’t a blatant lie, but I’m struggling to come up with something that sounds more appealing than “photo station” or “backdrop-on-poles-where-you-stand-in-front-and-act-goofy-thing”. Any suggestions on what to call it would be most appreciated. Also, any thoughts on backdrop preference? I’ve been using white, but I could also do black, patterns, something silly, etc. Opinions please!

Here’s our groom, Andisheh, who had the best photo booth idea of the night.

Matt and I made a cameo with our friend Adri Danley, who was there as a guest. Photo of the 3 of us by Christian Danley. Note: do not adjust your monitors….my skin really is that pale.

Yay everybody!!!
