There’s something peculiar, pink, and puzzling in my living room. One might think it’s a shrine to liquid digestive remedies, but it’s actually my Christmas tree. Those of you who saw last year’s tree know that this one is quite a departure from my previous theme. My former “Rorschach” tree was covered in ink blot tests, Edward Gorey drawings, and other grey, black, and white ornaments. No color at all. Sadly, many of those hand-made items were ruined when my basement flooded several times this year. Bummer, yes…..but at least for a few days, I had an indoor pool, right? Rather than spending money on new decorations, I decided to make new ones out of items from my yard (leaves, acorns, and such). Then the pink. My photography logo/branding used to be hot pink. What?? So, I had a bunch of old supplies gathering dust. A few crafting hours later, this colorful tree gem was all set…..complete with duct tape bow on top.
I hope y’all are having a very happy, very crafty holiday season so far!
